Between
Heaven and Hell
On June 11, 1982 three Israeli soldiers were captured in the battle of Sultan Yakoub in Syrian controlled Lebanon. Since then they have been reported missing.
Verse:
Where are the
young men alone in a cell?
Where is the
place between heaven and hell?
Where are the
flowers that bloomed in the spring?
Where is the
beauty that they used to bring?
Refrain:
Here is the
bread,
The salt and
the wine
But where is
the taste for life that once was mine?
Where is the
road that leads to where they dwell?
Somewhere on
Earth between heaven and hell.
Verse:
Where is the
heart that is harder than stone?
Where is the
prison that’s furthest from home?
Where is their
music?
Where is their
song?
Where is the
love they gave - where has it gone?
Refrain:
Here is the
bread,
The salt and
the wine
But where is
the taste for life that once was mine?
Where is the
road that leads to where they dwell?
Somewhere on
Earth between heaven and hell.

Section:
Freedom is
yours like a bird in the sky.
Fly in your
mind and you know by and by.
You will come
home - where you belong.
Where is the
love they gave - where has it gone?
Refrain:
Here is the
bread,
The salt and
the wine
But where is
the taste for life that once was mine?
Where is the
road that leads to where they dwell?
Somewhere on Earth between
heaven and hell.
