HEADLINE: Nasrallah turns down prisoner exchange
BYLINE: JPOST.COM STAFF
Hizbullah Chairman Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah has officially informed the German mediator Ernst Urlau that he rejects Israel's conditions for a prisoner exchange. Although the organization has not yet ruled out a deal, the stumbling block is the release of Haran family murderer Samir Kuntar.
Urlau is to leave Beirut Monday morning with a last-chance message to the Sharon government, but Lebanese sources expect Nasrallah to publicly announce the deal is off in this Friday's sermon.
